Dr. Cindy Chay

Airway-Focused Orthodontics

Dr. Cindy leads the airway-focused orthodontic side of La Petite Dent, looking at how a child's jaws, palate, and airway are developing before recommending treatment. A board-certified orthodontist and board-certified pediatric dentist, she enjoys working with children of every age, from a toddler's first check to a teen's last day in braces.

Dr. Katherine (Kay) Bracy

Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Bracy is a board-certified pediatric dentist with over 10 years of experience in laser frenectomies, who is also a certified lactation counselor. She looks at how a baby feeds, not just at the tie, and works alongside your lactation consultant before and after treatment.

Dr. Velilla has cared for children since 2003 and teaches dental residents at Hackensack University Medical Center. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, she has also run six marathons and set foot on all seven continents.

It started with our own daughters

Our journey toward airway-focused pediatric dentistry and orthodontics began with our experiences as mothers. Questions about our own daughters led us to look more closely at breathing, oral development, and how children grow.

Our airway-focused approach is part of care for all La Petite Dent patients. We educate parents and patients, share our current understanding of airway and oral development, and make room for questions at every stage.

Every age brings something new. Our pediatric dentists and orthodontist work as one team, so the care your child receives at each stage builds on the one before.

    A gentle first visit

    We like to meet your baby by their first birthday. If feeding has been a struggle, we can evaluate for tongue- and lip-ties and, when release is needed, perform it with a laser in our office, working alongside your lactation consultant.

    Healthy habits, happy visits

    Checkups and cleanings are calm and playful. We help children build confidence in caring for their own teeth and in visiting the dentist. We also keep an eye on how your child breathes and sleeps, since mouth breathing and snoring are worth noticing early.

Open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 to 6, and Tuesday from 10 to 7.
